Under New Managment

We're through the thick of it readers, I've mostly taken over site ownership from Prez, and I'd just like to take a post to reflect on how I've come to this point. Join me, won't you?

I lurked the blog for a long time, but the first thing I contributed was waaaay back in 2010 when I sent in an old school house track from around 1998 that I'd grown up with that had a pretty deep story behind it. You can read that in the comment section over here for the full details, for now enjoy the tune!

Not long after I started I started to cover most of the legendary Warp Records' backcatalogue, and of course Aphex Twin was a huge part of that. Here's a little bit from his debut Selected Ambient Works 85-92.

Of course, I can't forget that ilictronix was founded on a love for house. Here's a stone cold classic from one-half of Daft Punk Thomas Bangalter. If you can get your hands on any Roulé, you should! there's not a single bad release on the entire label.

And finally, before I leave you all once again, here's the bonus track from the latest Moderat LP that has some gorgeous drums in it. It sounds almost unlike anything else on the album, but there's nothing wrong with a little more Moderat to go around.

Thanks to all of you out there once again for sticking with us, and keep holding on for more to come in the near future!
